Spam Word Checker

Paste your email subject line and body to detect spam trigger words that could hurt your deliverability. We check against 300+ known triggers used by Gmail, Outlook, and Yahoo filters.

How spam filters analyze content

Modern spam filters like those at Gmail, Outlook, and Yahoo use a combination of content analysis, sender reputation, and machine learning to classify emails. While content alone does not determine spam classification, certain words and patterns increase the probability of being flagged.

This tool checks for known trigger words across 6 categories: urgency, financial, free offers, claims, marketing jargon, and health-related terms. It also detects formatting patterns like excessive capitalization, exclamation marks, and dollar amounts that are associated with spam.

Context matters

A single trigger word does not guarantee spam classification. Gmail and Outlook evaluate the full context: your sender reputation, authentication setup (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), recipient engagement history, and the overall content quality. A word like "free" in a legitimate business context is less risky than in a cold email with no prior relationship.
