Docs — Quickstart
Scrape your first page in under 60 seconds
This quickstart walks you through installing Stekpad, saving your first recipe, and piping rows into Google Sheets. If you already have the extension installed, skip to step 3.
Steps
- 1
Install the Chrome extension
Open the Chrome Web Store and search "Stekpad". Click Add to Chrome. The extension icon appears in your toolbar. - 2
Open any page you want to scrape
Navigate to a list, product page, or profile directory. Stekpad activates on any page once you click the toolbar icon. - 3
Click a row to teach Stekpad the pattern
Stekpad highlights the first matching element and infers the pattern. Click more fields to add columns: title, URL, price, image. - 4
Name the recipe and save it
Give your recipe a descriptive name ("Amazon price tracker"). Save. The recipe now appears in your recipe library. - 5
Connect a destination
Authorize Google Sheets once, pick a sheet, and map recipe fields to columns. Every run writes rows automatically. - 6
Run the recipe
Click Run from the recipe panel. Stekpad scrapes the current page and writes rows to your destination in seconds.
Ready to save your first recipe?
